Medical Training Therapy at OrthoTrain:
Active training and motion are employed in a targeted manner to eliminate weight-bearing issues, pain and other problems subsequent to injury and surgery. The patient is provided with a training program drawn up on the basis of his or her clinical presentation and treatment status. Before and after treatment, analytical diagnostic procedures are carried out to document the progress of the therapy.
Medical Training Therapy (MTT)
Medical Training Therapy at OrthoTrain is a treatment module of the practice for holistic orthopedics and trauma surgery (Praxis für ganzheitliche Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie).
On the basis of and building on medical treatment and subsequent physical therapy, patients engaged in MTT actively and independently perform training exercises under medical and therapeutic supervision. Training impulses derived from training sessions that alternate systematically with rest periods are used in a targeted manner to address deficits in muscle strength, coordination, mobility and endurance after injuries and operations. Functional training of neuromuscular processes improves joint stability and mitigates pain and other problems stemming from load-bearing issues.
At the beginning of Medical Training Therapy, diagnostic tests are carried out and analyzed to determine the patient’s existing deficits and limitations in the areas of load-bearing capacity and functionality. On the basis of the diagnostic results, therapy goals are defined on behalf of the patient and a training program is drawn up to address the relevant issues. Medical Training Therapy at OrthoTrain is guided and monitored by specially trained therapists and is regularly adapted according to how the patient is progressing.
The diagnostic test procedures carried out at the beginning of Medical Training Therapy are repeated at the end to determine what gains have been achieved and to identify what limitations there still are.
