The OrthoTrain concept:
Orthopedists, sports physicians and therapists work in close cooperation to draw up patient-specific training programs designed to eliminate deficits in the areas of strength, coordination, endurance and mobility. Improper weight-bearing, postural deficits and impaired joint mobility are treated in a systematic manner under medical supervision.
The OrthoTrain concept
Admission diagnostics: analysis – training – final analysis
Orthopedic injuries and operations impair joint strength and neuromuscular performance. Likewise, they usually impair joint stability and the strength of the injured structure. Often, nearby body parts are affected as well, requiring a discriminating holistic diagnosis.
OrthoTrain has a wide range of diagnostic test procedures and computer-aided equipment available to help it identify impaired coordination as well as deficits in the areas of coordination and conditioning. An interdisciplinary evaluation of the medical diagnosis, the detailed findings and the sports-science-based test results is systematically evolved into an effective, target-oriented training regimen. The therapy goals and the estimated treatment period are determined in consultation with the patient.
After a predetermined training period (usually ten or twelve units), a follow-up test is performed to evaluate the success of the treatment and derive important information for determining future key areas of the training therapy.
OrthoTrain works with latest, computer-aided systems for diagnostics und training therapy. Systematically the test results are transferred to an individual neuromuscular training program that is tailored to the needs of the patient.
